This 2008 Impreza 2.5i represents the roomier 3rd generation of the Impreza compact sedan. Our head gasket/valve cover gasket job (including resurfacing of the heads) was done at 170k. Car has 184k now. Other work we've done: idler, ball joint, sway link, CV axle, wheel bearing, catalytic converter, and front O2 sensor replacement; crossover tube seals, throttle body work, exhaust work, and A/C vacuum and recharge. Then we gave this car a 300+ mile test, and now it's ready to go for you.

Steel silver metallic on the outside; charcoal interior with plush cloth upholstery. Fold-down rear seats to extend trunk for more cargo space.

Set of 4 GT Radial Maxtour LX tires have 6-7/32" tread depth (about half tread). Automatic transmission with sport shift. AWD.

It has averaged 27.0 mpg over the last 567 miles, and it got 34.2 mpg over 32 miles of highway driving. See photos. Not too bad for an All-Wheel Drive car!

For stability and safety, Subaru's Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system monitors the direction of the car compared to the intended steering direction. It compensates by braking individual wheels and/or altering fuel flow to the engine. Also, the Traction Control System (TCS) senses if any wheels are skidding and redirects power only to those wheels having the best traction. This is what is meant by the word "symmetrical" in Subaru's "Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive."

Imperfections (see photos): rust specks in doorjambs etc., dent on right fender, chip out of driver's side taillight lens, 2 holes in driver's seat upholstery, ding in upper RH corner of windshield. Upholstery is stained but clean. The check engine light came on for us with a catalytic converter code (420) after we had already changed the catalytic converter and front O2 sensor. It's not a serious code, but in case it comes on again, we'll throw in a code reader for the next owner to read and erase the code. TPMS light is on even though all tires are inflated to recommended pressure.

But of course it has Subaru's signature All-Wheel Drive transmission!
