Northeast Iowa’s Used Subaru Dealership!
Here's a 2010 Forester 2.5x Limited in Camellia Red Pearl with 132k. We completely rebuilt the engine, which consisted of reboring the cylinders; new pistons and rings; new main bearings and rod bearings; new block seals, crossover tube seals and rear main seal; new head gaskets and valve cover gaskets; new oil pump, oil pan gasket, water pump, water pump gasket, timing belt, tensioner, 3 idler wheels, and spark plugs. Resurfaced the heads before putting everything back together.
We also replaced the front brake pads (rear ones are at 6mm, which is about 75% thickness), as well as the right rear wheel bearing, the front O2 sensor, the catalytic converter, the second exhaust pipe, and the windshield.
And we gave it a 300+ mile test to make sure everything's right.
Of all Subaru models, the Forester has the highest driver's seat height: the 2010 sits about 25" off the ground (to the middle of the seat). Ground clearance of the vehicle is 8.7", which helps for navigating in snow.
17" alloy wheels. Set of 4 Michelin Cross-Climate all-weather tires are close to new, with 9/32" tread depth (10/32" is new).
The Limited trim level means lots of perks: leather upholstery, heated front seats with 4 settings, a 10-way power driver's seat with power lumbar support, automatic climate control, steering wheel audio controls, fog lights, reclining rear seatbacks, rear seat flip-out tray with 2 cupholders, rear seat flip-out armrest. Large powered sunroof: 28" x 31.5".
Automatic transmission with sport shift. Aux port in center console. Two front 12v outlets, and one in the rear cargo compartment. Roof rails for luggage hauling.
Cargo volume with the rear seats up is 30.8 cubic feet. With the rear seats folded, it's 63.0 cf.
For stability and safety, Subaru's Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system monitors the direction of the car compared to the intended steering direction. It compensates by braking individual wheels and/or altering fuel flow to the engine. Also, the Traction Control System (TCS) senses if any wheels are skidding and redirects power only to those wheels having the best traction. This is what is meant by the word "symmetrical" in Subaru's "Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive."
Imperfections (see photos): nicks in hood and in driver's seat upholstery.
But of course it has Subaru's signature All-Wheel Drive transmission!
