This classic 2003 Baja Sport with 146k has had a complete engine rebuild: after reboring the cylinders, we gave it new pistons & rings, new main bearings & rod bearings, new head gaskets & valve cover gaskets, new intake gaskets, new rear main seal & block seals, new timing kit & water pump. Resurfaced the heads before putting everything back together.

New battery and RH front CV axle. Did exhaust work and gave it a new catalytic converter. Also replaced the ignition coil pack and a tie rod end. Balanced the tires.

New rear brake rotors, pads, and right rear caliper. Front brake pads are close to new, at 9mm thickness (10mm is new).

Then we gave it a 300+ mile test to make sure everything's in order, and it passes.

Sunroof with both slide and tilt functions. Cargo light (for box), fog lights, and a luggage rack with crossbars. Soft and clean cloth upholstery. Stereo with CD player. Automatic transmission. Has a hitch! (1 1/4" receiver.)

Three Fisk Classic tires with 6-7/32" tread (over 50%) and one Primewell Touring (RH rear) with 8/32" tread (75%).

Imperfections: rust in rear doorjambs (see pictures). Hairline crack in LH exterior mirror. Map lights don't work, but dome light does. Airbag recall, which Subaru will do for you at no cost (we'll give you their number).

Although it hasn't come on for over 200 miles, there's a possibility of an evaporative emissions small leak code (P0442) coming on which would trigger the check engine light (CEL). We've investigated this code and deem it not serious. But we'll throw in a code reader just in case the CEL does come on for you. Then you can read the code, determine if in fact it's just the P0442, and then you can erase it.

But of course this Baja has Subaru's signature All-Wheel Drive transmission!
