Northeast Iowa’s Used Subaru Dealership!
One of these days, the 3rd generation Subaru Outback will be called a classic, if it isn't already. Here's an Outback 2.5i Limited in Harvest Gold Metallic with just 121k that's had a complete engine rebuild:
Our rebuild consisted of reboring the cylinders, new pistons and rings, new main bearings and rod bearings, new block seals, crossover tube seals, and rear main seal, new head gaskets and valve cover gaskets, new oil pan gasket, new water pump & water pump gasket, new timing kit (consisting of the timing belt, tensioner, and three idler wheels), and new spark plugs. Resurfaced the heads before putting everything back together. Also gave it a new radiator, new battery, torque converter seal, and rack & pinion.
Then we gave it a 400+ mile test to ensure that everything's fine...and it's now ready for you. We're impressed with its fuel economy: 27 mpg over 400+ miles (see photo).
Automatic transmission with sport shift.
Clean and comfortable leather upholstery. 8-way power driver's seat with manual lumbar support. Tilt and telescoping steering wheel.
All-weather package: heated seats, windshield wiper deicers, outside mirror defoggers. Dual zone climate control. 8.4" ground clearance along with its all-wheel drive makes it a great navigator through snow. Fog lights.
6-speaker audio system. 6 CD changer/MP3 player. Aux port in center console. 3 power outlets: dash, center console, rear cargo compartment.
Brake pads at 7mm in front, 5mm in rear (50%+ of life remaining).
Set of 4 17" Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus all-season tires have 7/32" tread depth. 10/32" is new; 2/32" means Replace Now, so these have well over half their tread remaining.
Cargo capacity: 32 cu.ft. behind back seats; 62 cu.ft. with seats folded down. High quality Subaru rubber floor mats, also in rear cargo compartment. Rear cargo cover.
For stability and safety, Subaru's Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system monitors the direction of the car compared to the intended steering direction. It compensates by braking individual wheels and/or altering fuel flow to the engine. Also, the Traction Control System (TCS) senses if any wheels are skidding and redirects power only to those wheels having the best traction. This is what is meant by the word "symmetrical" in Subaru's "Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive."
Imperfections: The only rust we could find is along the seam under the inside of the driver's door (see photo). Other doors don't have any. TPMS light is on even though all tires are inflated to recommended pressure.
But of course it has Subaru's signature All-Wheel Drive transmission!
